What data we collect

When you join the Shale waitlist, we collect your email address and the timestamp of your consent. We do not collect passwords, payment details, or other sensitive categories of data on this landing page.

Why we use your data

We use your email address solely to notify you about the Shale launch, early access, and related product updates you signed up for. Our legal basis under the GDPR is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).

How long we keep your data

We retain waitlist data until Shale launches and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you withdraw consent and request deletion — whichever comes first. If Shale does not launch, we will delete waitlist data within 24 months of collection.

Data processors

Waitlist emails are stored in MongoDB Atlas, which acts as our data processor. MongoDB processes data on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your GDPR rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
